Hi!  My name is Melinda, and I’m a professional photographer here in northwest Arkansas specializing in children’s portraiture.  I absolutely LOVE what I do and can’t believe I get to call this my career!  I have been blessed with a wonderful husband and 3 beautiful children! (okay, so i’m a little biased ;) )  My husband, Andy, takes care of all our website and blog designing which is really cool because if something goes wrong I can get him on it, no reporting ‘tickets’ for me! :)   Here on my blog is where you can check out recent sessions and keep updated on what’s going on with MJW Photography!

If you are a potential client we can’t wait to meet you!  One of my favorite subjects to photograph are newborns.  If you are planning a newborn session the best age is around the 10 day mark, they curl and sleep the best then.

Just in time for the holidays!

If you need a good Christmas gift this year that will be sure to make someone happy this is for you!  You may purchase a gift certificate for whatever amount you desire.  This is a good idea for dad’s that just don’t know what to give their wives, or for someone expecting a baby this winter!  You just can’t go wrong with this…who doesn’t like pictures?!  :)

Eight already?!

Today is my eldest son’s 8th birthday!  It seems like just yesterday he was a baby.  (well, he still acts like one sometimes!)  :)

It always amazes me how children can come from the same parents and be so different.  My 8 year old loves to read the GPS and books.  He won’t stop at a task until he has fiqured it out, and hardly ever let’s it frustrate him. (obviously he gets that from his dad for those who know me well!)  He is an awesome big brother to our smallest guy, and would rather unload/reload my dishwasher then pick up his toys.  I keep telling myself one day his messes will be another woman’s problem!  :)

Oh my goodness, these outfits are really making me want to start my Christmas decorating!  These girls have eyelashes that women dream of, but i’m not posting those close up shots…were saving those for mom!  :)

I’ve only got a few more available slots open for November, than all outdoor sessions will be over for this year!  Call or email me for available times.

Ok, so I wouldn’t be a good citizen if I didn’t use my blog to tell everyone to GO VOTE! But seriously, do vote.  I know the lines are going to be long, and if you have to take the little kiddos than WOW your in for a fun day…but to be able to have a say in how our country is run is really awesome.  If you don’t vote, don’t complain.  ;)

Fall back tonight!

Wow, i’m so glad it’s November.  I mean, October was great, but I don’t think I got much sleep last month!  :)

Check out this cute, blue-eyed baby!  What a great way to kick off November.  This little guys grandma made his outfit (good job by the way!), and when I opened the last image I noticed that the bottom of his shoes say ANGEL.  Fitting don’t you think?  :)

By the way Clay, congrats on a win today at the hogs game!
