This little beauty had to be the most alert 7 day old I’ve ever photographed. Not only was she awake pretty much the entire session, but she had such beautiful eye contact! Her parents left her as a surprise so mom did the nursery in grays which I think is awesome. The first image below was actually the moment before she opened up for a giant yawn, but it looks like a huge smile with a wink.

I love it when babies give me plenty of asleep AND awake time. This little princess did just that. She has the prettiest face don’t you think? She fought her sleepiness for a good while in the beginning and by the time dad got there we were getting in the swing of things. One of the many things I’m enjoying about the studio is that we are right next to the best pizza joint in Rogers. Dad went next door to The Rail pizza company and brought back their dinner to the studio. So dad’s, don’t dread your baby’s session. Just plan a little pizza and kick back on the couch.

What a lucky mom to have 3 fabulous sons. They are not only handsome, but polite and sweet. I hear mom’s say a lot that they don’t want to wait too long in-between children so they are closer in age, but I’m here to tell you there are some real benefits to having a bit of space. This little boy has two older brothers that just loved to snuggle and play with him. It took a bit for him to warm up during the session, but once he realized he was running the show it was all smiles.

Can’t help but love this family…can’t wait til they have one more with them. Since mom’s already seen their images I thought I’d share some with you. So many more I’d love to share, but I’ve got to stop somewhere.

I love, love, love being a part of this Celebrating Adoption organization! To help them celebrate their often long journey with family portraits is awesome. Mom brought some pretty cool things for ‘L’ to play with which is always a plus. Sometimes I’ll bring a prop, but it’s always more fun and meaningful when it’s yours and not mine. Heather and Jason, thanks for giving me the joy of photographing you! Here is a little taste of what’s to come.
