I was doing some cleaning up on my computer today and realized I never blogged this session from the fall season! I love this little family. They always bring such energy and humor to a session. I thought it would be cool to blog a picture from the last 3 years. They book every fall and every fall I get to see this handsome boy getter more grown up. Life is amazing.

We had so much fun at the studio’s grand opening! Thank you to everyone who came out, and to those who were there in thoughts. My friend, Katie, did an amazing job of pulling everything together. I hardly had to lift a finger and that was such a relief with my crazy schedule lately. I managed to grab a few pictures of some of the yummy things we had, but mostly I put the camera on my desk and thoroughly enjoyed chatting with everyone. I think at one point I counted almost 20 kids running around, playing like crazy. It was heaven.

I put everyone’s email address that signed up for the door prizes into www.random.org to pick winners. I have those winners and will send out an email tonight. If you’re curious what everyone entered to win you can scroll down to the bottom of this post and see pictures of the cool prizes!

This little beauty had to be the most alert 7 day old I’ve ever photographed. Not only was she awake pretty much the entire session, but she had such beautiful eye contact! Her parents left her as a surprise so mom did the nursery in grays which I think is awesome. The first image below was actually the moment before she opened up for a giant yawn, but it looks like a huge smile with a wink.

He was very excited to show off what his Micky Mouse Moped could do this evening. Santa left this for him under our tree. I never tire of that smile.

Today was the first day back from Christmas break. The kids went to school, husband to work and me to the studio. I had a beautiful newborn girl to photograph, orders to send in, emails to answer and a bit of location scouting to do for an upcoming project. So when my youngest went with me this is what I got for today’s photoaday.
